Pumpkin and his siblings began escaping through our fence, where we were able to catch them. Their mother had weaned them early since she wasn’t able to produce enough milk for them. Out of the five we were able to save, two died from coccidia, exacerbated by being unable to nurse from their mother.</p> <p>We fed Pumpkin, Butternut, and Sweetsnuffle a mix of kitten formula, pumpkin puree, and critical care, and had them treated for coccidia. Sweetsnuffle is one of our resident rabbits now, and Butternut is reserved. Pumpkin will need a good home. He has always been a timid one despite the attentions we’ve shown him (he even screamed when I first caught him), and he will need a quiet, peaceful home.</p> <p>He is not yet neutered, but approaching sexual maturity. A vet visit for Pumpkin is crucial, as he has begun developing a growth on his neck that now hangs by his jaw (see the lump in his picture). We have been unable to get the rabbits to a vet in the last month.
